JENN'S LENZ

I'm easily distracted by life, I'm verbose (and I overuse parentheses.) Here's proof.

Something nice for a stranger

484183_555568027797532_847984673_nI dusted off the Lenz so I’m technically obligated to write, right? Well, I’m snapping in to a new job, looking for a new apartment and doing a lot of homework… so I decided to let my friends decide which of my “stories” to drop on here. True to the notes in the header, many of my stories are photo essays. I’ll start with this one because it still makes me smile. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it too.  http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?…

I’M TOLD YOU HAVE TO BE LOGGED IN TO FACEBOOK TO SEE THE ALBUM/READ THE STORY. (still learning)

Just read your “story”about your dad and his visit to the USS Dewey. It brought tears to my eyes because he and my uncle Boyd Cassell were there together on the Dewey at Pearl Harbor.
Boyd was Navy and they were brothers. He didn’t talk very much about that day ofinfamy but he was so proud to serve his country. Boyd passed away in march of 2910. Now he and Bud can get together and talk about the time they spent on the Dewey all those years ago. Thank you for sharing your Dad’s story

I was moved by the story of Bud !! You see I am a Navy Brat ; and that could have been about my Dad ! He was station aboard the USS Tidewater which I believe was a destroyer .Dad retired with 20 yrs. ;but, always wished he had stayed for the max ….mom never adapted very well to civilian life !!!
